Behold, I Am Doing A New Thing!

Before I came to the United States I had a good friend and Pastor of mine speak Isaiah 43:19 over me “Behold, I am doing a new thing” but going back to that verse a month later I looked at the verse before in Isaiah 43:18 which says “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”

Lately God has really been speaking to me about letting go of the past, past experiences, past relationships, and things that have hindered my ability to walk in the fullness that God wants me to step into, and not allowing them to creep into my mindset walking into a new relationship and a new season.

We need to take captive every thought in our mind and that means the comparison mindset that entraps us into old ways of thinking, and the fear mindset that doesn’t allow us to walk forward in confidence and enslaves us with anxiety of the dreaded “what if”.

When we allow the dwell of the past we can’t walk in the fullness of what God has for us in our future relationships, our purpose and the God sized vision he has placed in our hearts.

How are you taking captive your thoughts and not dwelling on your past so that you can walk in the fullness of God?
