What If I Fall?

To be honest I’m always skeptical to share about relationships in case it doesn’t work out, but recently I was convicted with a few things and had to take a hard look on why I want to play safe when it comes to relationships yet with every other area of my life I walk in courage and boldness.

Me: What if I fall Lord

God: What if you fly, what if you soar, what if together you can create change, + leave lasting impact. What if he can help you become all that I want you to become, what if he can champion, support and encourage you through all of the things I have in store for you because two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)But then he took is even farther and showed me a verse that a good friend/pastor/spiritual mentor spoke over me prior to coming to the US. He said it sounds like God is doing a new thing in your life. Isaiah 43: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” but if you look at the verse before that you see it also says “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.”

And I was reminded that I can’t hold back because of the former things that didn’t work out because this is a NEW THING, this is different than any other relationship I have ever been in. I can’t hold back because God has confirmed this in multiple ways, through multiple people, signs, wonders, confirmations and miracles. I can’t hold back because he is so woven and intertwined in this relationship, and most of all I can’t hold back because regardless of what happens with us – God is in this and this man brings me closer to Jesus daily.
