As 2023 winds down and we peer into 2024, it’s tempting to look at our lives and think, “This isn’t where I hoped I’d be.” You might be reflecting on your singleness and asking, “Why hasn’t it changed?” It’s so easy to feel like the closing of a year is a final verdict on our hopes and dreams. But, let me remind you, it’s not the end.
I believe, and I want you to believe too, that God is actively working in our lives. If you’re feeling doubtful, take a moment to listen to “God Will Work it Out” by Israel Houghton and Naomi Raine. It’s a beautiful reminder of God’s presence in our journey.
God is far from oblivious. He knows our stories from start to finish. He’s at work in every detail, aligning things for our good. Even when challenges arise or we face setbacks, God has this incredible way of turning things in our favor. It might seem like we’re losing at times, but remember, through Jesus, we have victory over life’s struggles.
I understand the waiting can be tough, especially when you’ve been holding onto a prayer for years. But think of it like a gardener. They plant a seed and don’t expect a harvest immediately. They nurture it, protect it from storms, pests, and weeds. There’s a season between planting and harvesting. So, I urge you, don’t lose hope in your season of waiting.
Your harvest time will come, and when it does, it often brings more blessings than we anticipated. Trust that God will bless your patience and faithfulness. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep serving. The beauty of harvest is in its abundance – you’ll receive more than you imagined.
So, as we step into a new year, let’s do it with hope and trust in God. Let’s believe that He’s working everything out for our good. Your current season has immense value, and God is with you every step of the way. Keep your heart open to His plans, and be ready to embrace the abundant blessings He has in store for you.
