Living with Belief

Recently, I came across a powerful sermon by Stephanie Ike Okafor titled “Do You Believe?” It completely transformed my perspective on faith and opened my eyes to a practical approach I had never considered before.

We all know Hebrews 11:1, right? It says that faith is the evidence of things not seen. Pretty straightforward, isn’t it? But Stephanie took it a step further, and her example about her own healing journey resonated deeply with me.

She posed a thought-provoking question: “How would you behave if you were already healed?” She encouraged us to put our faith into action, to live as if we had already received what we were praying for. And guess what? God honored her faith and brought about her healing.

Now, before you jump to conclusions, this isn’t wishful thinking or living in denial. If you’re facing health challenges, seek medical help. God can work through doctors and treatments too. What I took from Stephanie’s sermon was a shift in mindset, a fresh perspective.

Let’s apply this to the area of singleness, something many of us can relate to. I often come across posts from both men and women expressing their longing for companionship and marriage. If that’s you and your desire remains unfulfilled, I want you to consider this: How would you act if you met your future spouse yesterday?

Would you become more outgoing, radiating joy wherever you go? Would you worry less, knowing that God is faithful to bring relationships together? And here’s the best part—what if you started encouraging other singles around you, reminding them that God is still in the business of creating beautiful love stories?

This principle isn’t limited to relationships alone. Maybe your heart longs for a breakthrough in your finances. Let’s dig deeper. How would you act if you were already experiencing financial abundance? And if self-esteem is something you struggle with, how would you behave if you were filled with unshakable confidence?

Here’s my point: Instead of waiting for perfect circumstances to believe in God’s faithfulness, let’s live in a way that boldly declares, “No matter what’s happening around me, God always comes through for me.” It’s not about wishful thinking, positive thoughts, or manifesting. It’s about embracing a mindset that aligns with God’s promises.

Remember, regardless of the outcome, God is the one we believe in. Why? Because He cannot lie. His Word has stood the test of time, and His reputation speaks for itself. So whether you’re waiting for a breakthrough in your business or longing to meet your future spouse, choose to believe in God, unwaveringly.

Let’s walk this journey of faith together. Embrace God’s promises, live with expectation, and act as if what you’re praying for has already been granted. You never know, God might just surprise you in ways beyond your imagination. Trust in His faithfulness and keep believing, no matter what!
