Cultivating An Attitude Of Gratitude
Cultivating An Attitude Of Gratitude? What does that even mean? It means remembering we have so much to be thankful for this year and every year. Maybe you have had a hard year and it has been really hard to muster up the courage to think of things you are gratitude, but we must.
Cultivating An Attitude Of Gratitude means recognizing that we have so much to be Thankful for this year going into The Holidays. We have breath in our lives, a saviour who died for us, we have food on the table, we have a roof over our head. We live in a free country and get to worship the Lord anywhere we want to.
As I am Cultivating An Attitude Of Gratitude, Here is 10 things I am thankful for this year (Wow it’s hard to write only 10).
1.) Thankful for God, His mercy that is new every morning, His overflow of love, His unmerited favour, His grace being sufficient, His strength for my weakness and all that He has done this year and beyond this year. I have such a dynamic history with God and I love to reflect on all that He has done for me. Not because He has to, but He chooses to.
2.) Thankful for Abundant Life. That we don’t need to live in the mundane because He has given us life and life abundantly.
3.) Thankful for the lessons learned, the growth, the pivotal moments, the refining, the hard times that led to the strength, and that the victory that is already won. Without our battles, we wouldn’t be able to see our victories.
4.) Thankful for the small intimate moments that God shows us that are just subtle reminders that He is standing right next to you, guiding you, directing you and holding your hand through it all.
5.) Thankful for community of like minded believers, who are consistently in the presence of God, show up as servant leaders, encourage, champion and help in any way they can to live out the vision that God has put on my heart.
6.) Thankful for health, for the ability to evolve and strengthen myself daily with discipline.
7.) Thankful for mistakes that I have made, for failure, for times I have messed up because it allows me the chance to change, correct and to pivot.
8.) Thankful for my little fur friend Diesel who had shown me unconditional love for 14.5 years and went to heaven in April of this past year. His loyalty, affection and love changed my life for the better. He may be gone, but he lives in my heart forever.
9.) Thankful for the chance to travel and see so much of God’s creation this year. Watching Him walk with us hand in hand and get to see so much of His glorious creation was so beautiful.
10.) Thankful for God using me as a vessel in this crazy world we live in. For a business that allows me to freely speak of His goodness, allows me to walk alongside people and to create something that is bigger than myself. I couldn’t do it without His leading. Grateful for Holy Spirit guidance, direction and friendship
and of course Cultivating An Attitude Of Gratitude for my husband, who is a rock, a confidante, a shoulder to cry on. He empowers me, encourages the gifts/talents inside of me and makes me a better person everyday. He is truly the best God has for me, and I will treasure him everyday that God blesses me with him by my side.
